Puppy Love Pet Wear

I have been asked by many of our owners, where I got the fantastic England Bandana's for the dogs. As you can see Molly loves hers. Well I got them off ebay from a wonderful young lady who makes them to order and to the right size for any dogs, they even have the dogs initial on them! They are available in other designs, and yes, I will be buying some more very soon following our crushing defeat on sunday! ( I am thinking Spanish flags at the moment)

Anyway, have a look at the blog followers -  Puppy Love Petwear has joined us to follow the adventures of the Hebersghyll Newfs. So if you fancy some gorgeous Bandana's for your beautiful Newfs to wear about town, click on Puppy Love Petwear and send a message. I am sure she will be happy to hear from you.

If you do buy a bandana for your dog or dogs, send me some photo's and we will have a bandana blog!

Shoe love

No it's not me I am referring too - although it could well be, I do adore shoes and like every woman I know, I understand that you can never have enough of them.

It would seem that Nemo would like to assist me in this aim and is taking his efforts very seriously....

A bit more of Andy's slippers

A pair of my work shoes (yes awful I know, Nemo did me a favour)

My brand new, still being worn in, Reef flip flops. Needless to sya they didn't make it on holiday with us!

My own fault, anything left on the floor belongs to Nemo. However, it is such a great excuse. How can Andy complain when I buy new shoes? "Well it's not my fault your dog ate my other pair"
Yes, he is Andy's dog when he is naughty.

Jess went through the same shoe fetish but then progressed to solid oak shelving and chair legs. We are hoping that Nemo won't get that far - although we have found a few teeth marks on the stairs. We found that raw, fresh chilli did the trick with Jess and so now apply chilli to any furniture or hard surface that Nemo takes a liking too. It's quite funny watching him when he has a mouthful of chilli - he really doesn't like it. Hopefully, he will grow out of the chewing stage soon, until then he can stay in his crate at night!

Nemo gets stuck

We couldn't help but laugh when we found Nemo with his head stuck in his food stand!!!! And luckily the camera just happened to be within reach....

We are not sure how long he was sat there for ha ha

A Nice Surprise

Nemo enjoyed his first England game on Saturday although he was very disappointed with the final score. He particularly enjoyed being fussed by lots of adoring fans at my brothers in Derbyshire. Growing more by the second, my family were amazed to see him. We measured both him and Jess tonight by making marks on the wall and Nemo is now bigger than his Mum by about half an inch - and still growing.............

A lovely surprise yesterday when Lily came to visit accompanied by Ziggy a new newfie addition to the Evans family from Sandbears

6 Month Pups come home for a swim with Mum

We had a wonderful day last Sunday when Jake, Ben and Elwood came to visit and Andy and friends donned their wetsuits and took each of them out for a swim.

It was fantastic to see the pups. We haven't seen Jake or Ben since they left us and I have to say I had to fight back the tears when I first met them. It is really odd, but I am sure they remember us, they both gave myself and Andy such a wonderful welcome. It was just great. All the boys look so alike, there is so little to choose between them. It was a good job they all had their collars on or we would have all ended up with the wrong dogs.

We saw Elwood on our visit to Cullercoats earlier this year and he and Nemo were very quick to re establish their friendship - to the exclusion of all others. The two of them just played and played all day and long into the evening. The pair of them were exhausted on the Sunday - Nemo slept the whole day, we had to drag him out to the toilet - literally.

The swim was great. Although some enjoyed it more than the others they all swam, even if it was just to the shore.

Our friends Mischelle, Nige and Shaney also came along with the beautiful Bailey to join in the fun. Bailey is just 5 weeks older than our litter and already a confident swimmer. It was fantastic to see him take to the water with Jess.

Bailey and one of our litter - not sure which one

This might be Nemo or Ben or Elwood or Jake.....

And shake!!!

Bailey comes back to land for a rest

Molly might be old but she still loves swimming but never gets her hair wet!

Jake's first swim

Not quite got it but he did really well for the first time

Ben really isn't too happy and takes a lot of encouragement

Whilst Nemo and Elwood run about trying to get all the spectators wet

And as you can see, there were quite a few of us

Jess and Bailey just keep on swimming

Nemo gets back in the water to find his Mum

But she is not giving that stick up for anyone

Ben calms down and finally has a swim

Bless him!

And Jess just shows them all how it is done

After the swim it was back to our house for a BBQ and luckily the weather managed to stay fine for us.

A Nemo update

As it has been so long since I last blogged I will just give you all a quick update on Nemo's progress. He is now 6 months and one week old and last time we weighed him, at six months, he was 7 stone 3 lb!!!! And still growing OMG!!! He is as tall as Jess now but not as wide yet. I cannot believe he has got so big, so fast and he still has months of growing to do!

Taken today - Nemo is at the back, just in case you didn't know which one was which

Andy and I are very pleased with his progress, he is an absolute darling of a dog. He has his Mum's adorable nature and loves nothing better than a good cuddle - to the extent that he cries when he wants attention. He is really well behaved and has taken to his training really well. He sits, does down, wait and walks on the lead really well (unless Jess is with us when he tries to get her all the time)

This shot is probably a month old but I love it. My friend Charis bought Nemo this tiger, he loved it for all of 5 minutes and the promptly destroyed it. But just look at the size of his paws or his "pit boots", as Dianne refers to them. They are wider than my feet.

Much to Andy's delight now he has all his adult teeth, and they are beautiful white teeth just like Jess and with the the perfect bite. One thing that Andy is slightly disappointed about is that, as yet, he is not showing as much aptitude for swimming as Andy would like. He does love a paddle though and since he discovered the stream in our garden, take your eye off him and he is in it in a shot!

This was taken on one of Nemo's swimming lessons - he is heading for land........

Nemo's first swim

It was ages ago now, I know and I apologise for not keeping the blog up to date, but as it is a wet rainy sunday and for once I have nothing better to do, I thought I would try and get you all up to date on the pups progress. So her goes with a video special from Andy of Nemo's first swimming lesson!
